We would like to take a moment to explain why we feel these classes should be cancelled in our absence.

Sensei Ray and Sensei Tyler are both incredibly passionate about working with children and ensuring they receive the best instruction possible. Working with our youngest and newest students takes a certain skill set. Not everyone is born with the ability to work with children and as we like to say, "no mere mortal can teach children."

There are plenty of other black belts and junior brown belts that could step forward to run one of the younger classes. However, we feel that we would be doing both parents and students a disservice by having a substitute instructor. There are many situations that arise in a class that if not handled properly, can damage a student's growth. There is a certain method in which our youth karate classes must be ran so that students gain the most of each session.

All other classes will be held as scheduled with substitute instructors. We will have our senior black belts supervising while our junior black and brown belts work with students on their kata.

We hope that you understand our feelings behind this matter but if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We thank you for your continuing support of this dojo!
